Hemp history

Hemp has been used for more than 10,000 years and was probably one of the first plants to be cultivated by humans.

A piece of hemp fabric was found in Mesopotamia dating back to 8000BC. From the 5th century BC to the 1800's hemp was used to make ropes and sails for ships.

Hemp has a long history of being used to make paper and clothes and as a staple food for humans and animals alike.

Hemp is one of the most versatile plants. it can be grown almost anywhere and requires very little pesticides or herbicides. Today there is a strong textile market for hemp and a growing food market.

Hemp seeds contain all the essential amino acids to support a human life.
